USEPA's Watershed Academy will sponsor two free webinars in September.
September 17: “Wetlands Supplement: Incorporating Wetlands into Watershed Planning”
New guidance encourages the inclusion of wetland management in the watershed planning process, promoting a watershed approach "that protects existing freshwater wetlands and maximizes opportunities to use restored, enhanced, and created freshwater wetlands to address problems including habitat loss, hydrological alteration, and water quality impairments."
September 25: "Linking Nutrient Pollution and HABs: State of the Science and EPA Actions"
This is the fourth in an exciting series of summer webinars about this worsening environmental problem and public health threat.
